Session 3 - The Communicator

Brian Branam

Men often believe, “I’ll let my actions do the talking.” But in marriage, silence can wound just as deeply as harsh words.

In Session 3 of The Missing Man: The Power of His Presence, we explore Ephesians 5:26–27 and the calling of a husband to become a communicator who washes his wife with his words instead of wounding her with them.

This message examines:

- why words are essential in marriage

- how filthy, foolish, and crude speech damages intimacy

- the hidden danger of sarcasm, careless humor, and emotional silence

- how Christ uses His Word to sanctify and strengthen His church

- why a husband’s voice carries tremendous power in his wife’s heart

Every day your wife hears thousands of voices. But yours is the one she wants most. The question is: what is your voice putting into her heart—trash or treasure?

This session challenges men to stop using words that:

criticize,

manage,

belittle,

or distance,

…and begin speaking words that:

strengthen,

secure,

encourage,

and build intimacy.

A missing man doesn’t care what he says.

A present man understands that his words are shaping his wife every single day.
