How to use the daily discipleship journal.
The daily discipleship journal is a tool to help you develop the spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, Scripture meditation, and prayer. These spiritual disciplines are essential to experiencing God in a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The journal provides space for 26 weeks of daily discipline. Each week contains 5 days of pages designed to help you read Scripture, hear from God, and do what the Bible says. Each week also contains a page where you can take sermon notes along with a page that will help you discern the voice of the Lord in your personal readings and in your time with gathering for worship with God's people in your local church.
The journal can be used privately, but spiritual habits are best established in community with accountability. A good practice would be to meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly with a few others who are also using the journal to talk about your entries and experiences.
