How it all started...
Liberty Baptist Church was formed on February 27, 1949 when 28 people gathered to form a congregation in the Tibbs Bridge Road area of Whitfield County, GA. The church began on the former site of the Liberty School. The site was once also the location of the Liberty store.
Where we are...
After outgrowing the Tibbs Bridge Road site, Liberty moved in 2018 to our current 17 acre campus on US-76 in Murray County, GA. We refer to this campus as the Hwy-76 Campus. We continue to build on a long history of ministry, evangelistic outreach, and faithful Biblical preaching. The Lord also gave us a second location in Spring Place in the Spring Place mobile home park. We call that campus the Liberty Spring Place Campus.
Where we are going...
We believe that what the Lord is doing in this season of Liberty is reflected in Isaiah 61:1. There are many people who are broken and who are in bondage that we will seek to reach with the good news of the Gospel. Our vision is to seek the Lord and do what He says. If we follow the Lord daily, we will be exactly where we need to be 1, 5, and 10+ years from now.

Celebrating 75 Years of Liberty
At the time of recording there were 4 living pastors who represent about 40 years of our story. In this documentary video they share some formative moments and favorite stories of what God has done at Liberty.
