Session 14 - Live for the Lord as Long As You Can
If you could go back and talk to the younger version of yourself… what would you say?
What mistakes would you warn him about?
What priorities would you change?
What would you tell him really matters?
In this final session from Ecclesiastes 12, Solomon speaks like an older man looking back over a life filled with success, pleasure, power, regret, and hard-earned wisdom. His conclusion is sobering:
👉 Don’t wait to live for the Lord.
👉 Don’t drift through life assuming there will always be more time.
👉 Decide as early as you can to live for the Lord as long as you can.
This message explores:
The urgency of fading opportunity
Why delay hardens the heart
Why Scripture is a better teacher than scars
How to stop drifting spiritually
What it means to “fear God and keep His commandments”
And how to finish life without the regret of wasted years
Ecclesiastes ends with a powerful realization:
You can begin where Solomon finished.
You do not have to repeat his mistakes.
You do not have to chase empty things.
You can decide today.
Key Scripture: Ecclesiastes 12
Big Idea:
Make the decision as early as you can to live for the Lord as long as you can.
