Foundations - Week 1 (Quiet Time)

A brief description of the Foundations quiet time method. When you do your quiet times, use the word WORSHIP to highlight different parts of the passage and discern what the Lord is saying.

Worship - Take a moment as you begin reading to praise the Lord and worship Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you read today.

Outstanding verse - What verse in the passage grabs your attention. Write it word for word as it appears in the Bible.

Rewrite the verse - After you have studied the verse and defined the words, write the verse in your own words, as if you were explaining it to someone else.

See - What do you see in the passage? Write out the details of the passage: Who, What, When, Where, Why?

Hear - What do you sense the Lord is leading you to do in response to the passage?

Implement - How will you apply the truth of the Scripture to your life today?

Pray - Pray the passage to the Lord and ask Him to help you implement what you are challenged to do.
